MY ROLE AT HERMES

I am a Senior Cousellor, a Coach and a Trainer. Saying that ‘I deal with people’ may seem almost obvious to those in our line of work, yet it is what I do, no matter what situation I find myself in. Whether it’s when I’m in the classroom helping people weave the interconnected threads that foster trust, enabling them to actively engage and participate with confidence, or when I’m in a company and I “listen” to them to see if and how Hermes can help them. I listen to the different points of view of the diverse roles. The wonderful complexity of people is never far away, always in the foreground, capturing my gaze and attention. And all stimuli and information that come to me, like in a kaleidoscope, move within my systemic gaze, which is constantly trying to see and read the web beneath things as well as the links between the single parts.

WHAT DRIVES ME

In both my private and professional life, the systemic view is as much my wound as my blessing; sometimes I would like to ignore insights, as it would be much easier to deal with things, but I simply cannot. It would be like closing my eyes to a beautiful sunset, such a terrible waste! All of that serving one thing: making systems, people, groups and companies find their wellbeing and solutions to their problems. I like to do this in an atmosphere of lightness that does not exclude, but rather encourages, depth. Watchwords: respect, concreteness and lightness.

ABOUT ME

I started out working in a bank, which was not my dream, but I landed that job with determination, driven by a desire for independence. I lived those years with satisfaction and enjoyment, meeting many nice people and always managing to fill roles that allowed me to be in contact with customers. Then I was drawn to the possibility of being more useful to them by being a Financial Promoter, until Training, which I had already encountered in my past as an employee, completely captivated me. Hence, I landed in the world of training first and then consulting. I have a degree in languages, a master’s degree in the Management of training processes and one in Managerial Constellations. I trained in NLP and have explored various areas, such as EFT, HeartMath and photographic coaching. I am also a Counselor, a title that to me embraces all my experience, values, what I believe in, my abilities and truly represents the realisation of a sought-after dream. To me, the most important professional goal achieved has been the fact that I have been able to find my way “home” by following paths that initially seemed to distance me from what I would have liked to do. I’ve always had the sacred fire of wanting to be useful to others, but I ran the risk of not following it as I didn’t see it as a true job. Instead, it nourished me, allowing me to find a space of expression in every context. Today, I perceive myself as a witness of the limitless potential of individuals to manifest their true selves in unexpected ways. Of course, some risks must be taken and the encounter with people cross your path are essential. I have often experienced mine as privileges; I’m sure they can happen to everyone and I think everyone’s responsibility is to recognise them as such.

AN OBJECT THAT DESCRIBES ME

I always have a pencil with an eraser with me. I like writing, taking notes and I like doing it with a pencil. To me, it represents that act of constantly questioning myself, in a continuous work in progress, leaving a sign that can be changed at any moment. A sign that is never an expression of the presumption of having the absolute truth, but rather the contribution that can integrate with other colours, in full respect of its trace and that of others.
