At this very moment, what matters most to you?

The answer to this question will shape your path into the future ahead.
A future we cannot predict or even imagine.
In a split second, we moved from living with a “healthy” amount of uncertainty—a catalyst for freedom and creative imagination—to living with an overwhelming ambiguity where we feel lost, because our knowledge, information, and experience are no longer enough: NOT APPLICABLE.

The reality we find ourselves in is born of a natural calamity for which no one is to blame, yet for which everyone must (re)claim their own personal responsibility.

There will only be a future if it is SUSTAINABLE.

We need to rebuild ourselves starting from our talents, our distinctive traits, and our strengths, with the trust and vulnerability of a child learning to walk.
We need to cultivate a new attitude of care, reaching beyond the ordinary and embracing every dimension of the reality before us.
To actively engage with the present, developing an ancient ability that we may have lost as we grew up: the willingness to raise our hand and ask for help, showing ourselves as we truly are, in a vulnerability that makes us unbreakable.
To constantly ask ourselves why, without wasting too much time on the what, because the latter is indefinable, undefined, and increasingly unpredictable.

What will we truly need, once we emerge “from here”?

We will need to look gently inward and ask ourselves these new questions:

  • What have I learned from this experience?
  • How have I changed?
  • What am I still learning in the here and now?
  • How can I use what I have learned to bring a new self into the world—one that makes a sustainable, tangible contribution to the common good?
