Needs Analysis

It was pointed out that employees belonging to the protected categories (people hearing-impaired) were critical of not being able to benefit from the compulsory training provided by the company, as they were not able to follow it in the traditional classroom mode. People experienced this situation as demotivating. In addition, their bosses also expressed difficulties in managing this kind of employees not knowing how to relate to them effectively.

Our solution

On the one hand, we suggested creating more functional modes according to the participants’ learning needs. On the other hand, we supported the company to engage and involve people in training, so as to improve relationships with colleagues, managers and bosses, thus generating greater integration and a better work experience.

Project development

We came up with a multi-stage intervention plan, starting with working on communication and then moving on to more behavioral issues. This path led to the creation of a booklet to be distributed to colleagues, containing the basic elements to keep in mind how to well communicate with hearing-impaired people. This particular project gave much more visibility to this part of the corporate population, thus enabling the company system to function better.
