In entrepreneurial families, personal history and business history intertwine into a shared narrative. Every handover, every phase of growth or transformation brings the need to redefine roles, identities, responsibilities, and directions.

I support entrepreneurial families at those pivotal moments when legacy must become a shared future, supporting both those preparing to let go and those stepping up to take on new responsibilities.

My starting point is simple: the strength of the business stems from the clarity of its people and the quality of their relationships.

That is why I work with strategic vision, systemic expertise, and deep care for human dynamics, helping the family preserve what has made it strong while building the conditions to continue generating value over time.

Who I work with

1

Entrepreneurial families

I work with families who want to keep the spirit of being an entrepreneurial family alive, strengthening belonging, trust, intergenerational dialogue, and a shared vision.

2

Entrepreneurs and founders

I work with those who have built or led the business and wish to prepare for the future with clarity, responsibility, and the ability to guide a new balance.

3

Rising generations

I work with sons, daughters, and young family members who are joining, or considering joining, the business and wish to define their own space, contribution, and direction.

4

Family members not involved in the business

I also work with those who do not work directly in the business, but share its history, values, sense of belonging, and responsibility for continuity.

5

Managers and key people

I work with those who work alongside the entrepreneurial family, contributing to the stability of the business through expertise, relationships, responsibility, and operational know-how.

How I work

I start with the family as a system

I listen to the history, values, relationships, and expectations that run through the entrepreneurial family. I create safe spaces for dialogue where individuals can feel recognised, express different perspectives, and build a common language grounded in respect, trust, and mutual listening. I work to ensure that belonging does not remain tied solely to memory, but becomes a living foundation to shape a shared future.

I view the business as a living organisational system

When the business undergoes growth or transformation, I help redefine strategies, roles, priorities, and decision-making processes. I work to clarify direction, strengthen alignment among people, and build a management system aligned with family values and market challenges. Every intervention combines structured discussions, interviews, shared debriefs, and actionable plans.

I guide generational transition

I do not treat generational transition as a simple handover of roles. I see it as a transition of identity, relationships, and organisation. I support both those preparing to let go and those stepping up to take on new responsibilities, helping the family clarify expectations, roles, decision-making criteria, and ways of working together.

I provide guidance for potential, aspirations, and roles

In multi-generational families, many members coexist, each with different talents, desires, and aspirations. I help identify who is truly ready and suited for managerial or succession roles, and who can make a different, yet equally valuable, contribution. I combine assessments, qualitative feedback, coaching, mentoring, and tailored advisory to align personal aspirations, organisational roles, and family vision.

I support leadership and individual transitions

I support entrepreneurs, rising generations, and key people in consolidating their roles, developing authentic leadership, and building greater self-awareness. Each programme begins with an initial evaluation of personal and systemic goals, includes one-to-one sessions, and concludes with a debrief designed to highlight the progress achieved and guide next steps.

I facilitate family governance and collaboration

Regular discussions among family members working in the business provide a valuable space to assess governance health, realign expectations, and establish shared guidelines. I facilitate plenary sessions, individual interviews, and joint debriefs, leading to the creation of an operational action plan. Where appropriate, I also support the development or revision of the Family Charter as a tool for cohesion and a guide for future generations.

La Continuità del Pensiero®

Protecting entrepreneurial wisdom, shaping the future

Discover the model

Entrepreneurial families hold a heritage that goes far beyond skills, processes, and financial results. They hold a unique way of interpreting the market, seizing opportunities, navigating critical transitions, and weaving together identity, tradition, and innovation.

La Continuità del Pensiero® is Hermes Consulting’s proprietary model and registered trademark, designed to protect this invisible heritage and make it living, accessible, and generative for rising generations.

The model introduces an innovative approach to family business continuity to the Italian landscape: it does not stop at preparing succession in roles, but makes entrepreneurial wisdom, decision-making criteria, strategic sensibilities, and the core values that have guided the family and organisation over time truly transferable.

From storytelling to shared heritage

Through guided conversations with founders, senior leaders, and key people, I bring to light what can rarely be captured in procedures or documents: the rationale behind decisions, the signals observed, lessons learned from mistakes, the balance between prudence and courage, and the meaning behind key choices.

These experiences are transformed into case studies, interpretive frameworks, and generative questions, creating a structured heritage that rising generations can engage with as they develop their own roles and judgment.

A living intergenerational dialogue

In intergenerational workshops, the business’s memory becomes an active learning experience. Rising generations work on real-world situations, formulate hypotheses, and debate them with senior leaders, who help them recognise blind spots, values to preserve, and the implications of different paths.

This transfer does not lead to imitation. It enables successors to understand the thinking that generated value, interpret it with freedom and responsibility, and enrich it through new experiences.

Technology extends memory; it does not replace it

Artificial intelligence supports the process by organising, connecting, and keeping the gathered heritage up to date. It operates within a confidential, traceable system controlled by the family, never replacing human relationships or judgment.

The family retains full governance over the content, deciding what to share, with whom, and when. Technology does not replace memory and entrepreneurial thinking: it extends them over time.

A legacy that continues to evolve

La Continuità del Pensiero® allows senior leaders to leave behind not just the memory of what they accomplished, but also the criteria, sensibilities, and questions that guided how they made decisions.

Rising generations thus receive a living heritage: not a template to replicate, but a solid foundation to understand, test, and renew.

La Continuità del Pensiero® does not merely preserve the past: it creates the conditions for the thinking that generated value to continue guiding the future.
